I AM SO EXCITED.......................................
My mom called today. She bought 12 pairs of jeans for 1.oo each. Cool. The only problem is that she has to bring them over in March when they come over. I can't work on anything tomorrow.
I called one of the St Vincents thrift stores today. They will hold onto jeans that have holes in them for people. I can buy jeans for .06 cents a pound. After they have saved up enough for me to buy. There again. Nothing for me to work on tomorrow. Also Phillip's girlfriend said that she has a bunch of old jeans etc that she can bring over sometime. Again nothing to keep me occupied tomorrow. NUTS!

ACTUALLY COME TO THINK OF IT......................
I am rather proud of the accomplishments that I have made lately. I gathered up old jeans from here and there and made a quilt top for my husband and I. I just need to get a quilt bat so that I can finish the quilt. I already have fabric for the back. This silly thing is so HEAVY! it is going to be so great to climb into bed with. I also have started 2 more tops. One is strips of denim 9 inches wide and 21 inches long and I have sewed the strips together so that the seams are on top of the quilt top and I have fringed the seams. It is going to be so cool when I get it done. I only have 2 rows so far. My mom called last night and said that one of the thrift stores that she frequents had a basket of jeans for 1.00 a pair and she wanted to know how many that I wanted. I told her all that she can get. If she can get 20 pairs at 1.00 each that is alot better than going to the DI or
St Vincents and paying 5.00 or more per pair. YAY! The only problem is that I won't get the jeans until the first weekend in March when they come over here for my neices wedding reception.
The other top I started today. It is a shame how much fabric that you have to waste by cutting up jeans, skirts, or shirts to do these quilts. So I have kept any scraps that are big enough to even think about doing any thing with. I started just sewing together random sized pieces of denim today. I think that this top will be alot of fun.

STILL LOOKING FOR THAT RICH UNCLE OR FAIRY GODMOTHER.....
Things really got worse. Em let us know that the choir trip to be taken this week was going to cost 165.00 just for the trip. Then she needed another 100.00 for meals etc. Yikes. Anybody up for a 600.oo boost.
Not only did we have to do that but there were things that she needed for the trip and for the dance on the 18th that she plans to go to. Jeeze! It seems to be never ending.
