SINCE MY LAST BLOG......................................

We went over to Idaho Falls the last week of June. Katie our niece got married on June 27th, 2006. I wish that I had a picture to post. Unfortunately my hubbies camera had something screw up on it and I can't download the pics.

Monday: We spent the first evening with C & B some good friends of ours. We don't get to spend much time with them when we go over so we made it a point to spend one evenong with them.

Tuesday: Was Katie and Jims wedding they had the wedding up near Fall Creek just below Swan Valley. We took Shane's dad with us. He has Alzheimers and is getting a little confused about things. He isn't as bad as I had thought that he might be. It is rather interesting dealing with him however.

Wednesday: We drove up to Palisades Resevoir. Shanes dad and mom built a little cabin up there several years ago. My sister Janece wanted to drive up to the cabin and see it. She and her husbnd have friends that have a cabin just on the next road up from the Walkers cabin. We spent about a half an hour at the family cabin then went over to the cabin of Janeces friends. We played a couple games of pool and visited then went back to IF. Nancy my good friend over there had a BBQ for everybody at her house that night.

Thursday: I had to get up and get going first thing in the morning. We were trying to get our camp trailer ready to travel over here. It has been in Idaho Falls since we moved away from there 8 years ago. There really wasn't alot that had to be done but, as is typical of us it took all day. That evening we drove up to Rexburg to BYU Idaho to see a good friend and her family perform there. Sherry plays the piano and the kids (seven of them and one ion the way) ages 15 to 4 play, violins, violas, bass, mandolin, guitar, and sing. The program was really cute. We saw her mom and step dad before the show and then got to see Sherry and her husband aftereward. I was so thrilled to get to talk to her for a few minutes. I haven't seen her since the night that she got married. It was really great.

Friday: We got up early and left so that we could take our time coming home. We have tires on the trailer that are 20 years old and have been just sitting for 8 of those years. We didn't want to over do it. We had breakfast in Arco on the way home. The drive between Arco and Mountain Home is a beautiful drive. There is alot of farm land and hills. It is a shorter drive than taking the interstate but, takes longer because of the towns that you hit and the slower speed limit. I still prefer that drive to the interstate.

0 Opinions. And they are...
