ALL GOOD THINGS MUST COME TO AN END.......

The tow trucks light bar and my dash board!

Emily pretending to Hitch a ride.
What a fun trip! after all of the frustration of trying to figure out where the girls and I were going to go if we couldn't all ride home with the truck driver.
Some where between Fairfield and Hill City.

Just before Leaving town we were talking about the fact that we were headed to Craters of the Moon and hopefully Shoshone Falls near Twin falls. I told the girls that the week was all about adventure and that the adventure wasn't quite over. Oh How True!

Sunday was time for goodbye's to be said. We had a couple of things that I needed to do before leaving town. So it was 2:30 or 3:00 pm before we left town. We had decided to take the old hiway to come home because Britt had never seen the Craters of the Moon before. The trip across the desert was uneventful. The excitement started the instant we stepped out of the car at Craters. Immediately we were surrounded by smoke coming from MY CAR! I got down on my hands and knees and looked under the car. Red liquid was dripping from the back of the engine. Looks like Transmission fluid to me. Come to find out I was right. I couldn't get ahold of Shane, Phillip, My nephew Jake, my parents, my brother, or my sister. Fortunately for us we had purchased a thing similar to AAA, with a loan that we got a while back. This service paid for us to be towed all the way to Boise. The wrecker had to come from Idaho Falls, I can't begin to imagine what that would have cost us. It took 2 hours for him to get to us. To begin with we were of the understanding that only 2 people could ride with the driver. I hated to have the girls go with the driver without me but I just couldn't see any other option. Then just about 1/2 hour before he got there. I was getting nervous because he hadn't showed up so I called the service and let them know that we were still stranded. She called the dispatcher for Classic and found that the driver was only about 1/2 hour out, and that he could accomodate all three of us.
Come to find out the driver was someone that I knew from home. This guy had worked for Classis for years. The owners of Classis Auto Body had been in our ward in lincoln.
By this time my sister and her husband was coming out to pick up the girls and I. So I called her and told her to turn around and go home. That we would be ok. I couldn't get the pay phone there to make a long distance call out so I had to call the Sheriff's department in that county and have them call Shane and Phillip to let them know not to come to twin to meet us. J and D were planning to drive us that far. Phillip called me back on the pay phone and I explained what was going on. The driver got there just minutes after that. He loaded that car up onto the flatbed of his truck with the three of us in it. We got to ride in our car all the way to Boise. I really was kinda fun. I only used a quarter of a tank of gas coming home. That was nice. We got to see some beautiful country all covered in snow. What a trip.
