SPEAKING OF DENIM FOR QUILTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I called one of the thrift stores in the area a while back because I had been told that they would hold onto jeans that couldn't be sold out on the floor for people like me that want to make quilts or rugs with the denim. One of the ladies called me last week and saud that they had a shopping cart full of jeans etc for me. Emily and I went out to pick them up and they had 84 pounds, at 6cents a pound that only came to a little over 5.00. I was so excited. I brought them home and started going through them and I was absolutely amazed at what good condition that they were in. There was some wear on all of them but most of them were worn very little. I let the family go through them while they were here this weekend and they took several pairs home with them, and I still have alot of denim to cut up, I mean ALOT! I added some to the quilt top that I am fringing before the weekend hit and that is about as far as I have gotten. I can't wait to get back to it.
